We've developed bespoke programmes for Year 2 (Money Days), Year 10 (Money Metrics) and Prison groups (Money Management).
Our sessions, delivered by our trained staff, teach financial literacy through real life scenarios, including some fun and games for the young ones, and in schools they meet the needs of the National Curriculum.
Since 2007 we've spent over 2,500 hours in the classroom, and extended our primary school programme with our app: My Puppy: Maths & Money. It's available on Android and Apple device, completely free to download and never asks for any payment.
to call home
We want to help people in Suffolk, and beyond, to have a roof over their head.
From providing affordable and accessible home loans, through to our individual underwriting, we’ll help first time buyers onto the housing ladder and support homebuyers.
We know having somewhere to call home extends further than this, and recognise the need for a sustainable housing market with suitable short term and emergency accommodation.
We're working with local organisations to raise awareness of their services and helping them to address the housing needs within our county.
We look after the organisations which in turn care for the local communities in which we operate.
At grass roots level we are part of Suffolk Community Foundation's Suffolk Fund.
We also operate a Sponsorship Committee, meeting quarterly to distribute smaller grants. View the policy here and download the application form.
However, we believe what we offer can go above and beyond a one off donation. We're keen to utilise our branch network and our staff to provide help-in-kind services. Some of the ways we could help include:
- volunteering for staff, or even member volunteering events
- promotion and leaflets in branches
- supporting events by bringing along Pound the Hound and / or some of our community games
We're always happy to discuss what may be possible. Simply get in touch.
