We are an independent mutual that has been providing local people with savings and mortgages for over 160 years. It’s our traditional, core business. But there’s nothing old fashioned about the first building society to have a twitter page and whose staff enjoy Wii fit facilities as part of our “Fit for Work” program.

We are committed to offer a place of work that is different and better than anywhere else. We have won numerous awards such as the Anglian Business of the Year Award in 2009, the Healthy Ambitions Suffolk Gold Award and were highly commended in the Business in the Community Awards 2010. We have held Investors in People status since 1995 and take training and developing our staff seriously.
