Talbot Trail Christmas Competition

Ipswich Building Society and the Sudbury Market Town Partnership have launched a children's competition in Sudbury based around the Talbot Trail, a circular walk of 14 bronze sculptures presenting a light-hearted look at the history of the ancient market town with stories of events and characters through the ages.

Families should visit the Ipswich Building Society branch on Market Hill to collect their entry form. The competition involves walking the Talbot Trail, a family friendly route, and describing the statue they find on top of 8 numbered bollards.

Once completed this should be returned to Ipswich Building Society in person in exchange for a delicious chocolate Lindt mini Santa. All entries will be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes donated by local retailers, with the winner receiving a large chocolate figure from Waitrose. The competition is open now and will continue until midday on Tuesday 24 December.

Wayne Hurrell, Assistant Branch Manager, Ipswich Building Society explains "this year we unveiled a large mural of the Talbot Trail and wanted to do something special to promote this wonderful local walking route. Sudbury has lots to offer for a great family day out and we hope to see lots of people taking part."

Jane Hatton, Town Centre Development Manager, Sudbury Town Team commented "I am delighted that the local business community are joining together to promote our town, and I welcome new and regular visitors to take advantage of all that Sudbury has to offer. The Talbot Trail is a great introduction to the history of Sudbury with booklets available for only 50p from both Ipswich Building Society and the Tourist Information Centre."
