With increasing awareness and a change in attitudes surrounding hidden disabilities, it’s more important than ever before to ensure all of our members receive exceptional, tailored customer service that understands their needs and delivers the best outcome.

Therefore I am delighted that our branch network is continuing that journey with the introduction of our new ‘helping hand box’. Situated in each of our branches, this kit contains a range of tools that some members may find useful, including:

-    Magnification and visual aids
-    Pen grips and clipboards
-    Portable induction loop
-    Cheque, credit card and banknote templates
-    Large print documents

In addition to this many of our staff are trained in sign language, with nine members of staff taking part in a British Sign Language taster course last year. For us, it is important that our members fully understand the products and services they use and so this is a great step towards a better equipped, more inclusive branch experience.

Any members requiring the use of these services should ask a member of staff who will be able to help.
