Earlier this year, as part of AGM, our members voted in favour of renaming Ipswich Building Society to Suffolk Building Society – you can read more about the name change here. This change won’t take place until later next year and we’ll keep you up to date on our website and via our monthly email newsletter.

To prepare for our future as Suffolk Building Society we are pleased to be working with Richard Allenby-Pratt, who has recently been undertaking a photographic study called The Suffolk Project, with a particular interest in rural landscape, agriculture and conservation. We’re pleased to be able to show you a selection of these images below.

For our new materials we have commissioned a photography series which will feature our members and showcase real life in our county. A posed shot in front of a house, clutching a new front door key? Not for us, thanks.

We want to see the real people of Suffolk, doing what they love, in the county we call home. This could be a cycle ride down a country lane, a woodworker labouring over their next creation, a moment of peace reading in a town centre or an ice cream enjoyed at the seaside.

The Suffolk Project v2

This article was published under our previous name of Ipswich Building Society. We changed our name in 2021 – find out more.
