Join us for a tour of Suffolk’s energy-from-waste facility and see how the waste generates enough electricity to power 30,000 homes.


WHEN: Tuesday 12 March, 2pm

WHERE: SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, Lodge Lane, Great Blakenham, Ipswich, IP6 0JE



The tour of the facility will last around 2 hours which includes time in the visitor centre.


Accessibility: The tour involves a 1.5km walk including over 300 stairs at a height of 23 levels which include mesh walkways. Therefore this tour is NOT suitable for members with mobility restrictions or vertigo.


Safety Requirements: Please be advised that legs must be covered at all times – shorts, skirts or dresses are not permitted. Study sensible footwear should be worn – no sandals, flip flops or heeled shoes. Failure to comply with the dress code will result in no admittance to the tour.


Please note: this registration is for the 2pm tour.

A ballot will be held following the closing date and members will be contacted to advise whether they have been successful or not in obtaining a place. For joint registrations both members will be allocated places if successful in the ballot.
